Rekesh Seyrani Concert

This week I am going to recap the Rekesh Seyrani concert that I went too with my sister, brother-in-law, and a close friend.

Rekesh Seyrani had a concert in Toronto Ontario where my family had bought tickets to watch him perform. Rekesh Seyrani is pretty much my everything, I remember watching his Çima Çima music video and falling in love with his voice. He's an incredible singer and a really good performer as well.

For the concert, my sister, my friend and I all wore Kurdish dresses because we knew we were all going to end up dancing while Rekesh Seyrani was singing.

He was singing a lot of his popular songs such as the famous Dojmino and peshmerga song. He also took a lot of request from the audience on what he should sing and ended up singing a lot of my favorited like ebdul qehar songs too.

We had an amazing time dancing, singing, and taking pictures. I always wanted to see Rekesh Seyrani live and I was able to do that with this concert. During the concert there was a lot of Assyrians there dancing and listening to the Kurdish music which was really amazing.

It was a more intimate concert than a massive one, which I really enjoyed because we were able to get close to the stage and record videos and take pictures with him. If it was a massive concert I wouldn't have reached the stage to record my fav songs that Rekesh Seyrani sings. I love the set up of the hall. However, I do wish the dance floor was much bigger.

What I Was Wearing

The outfit I was wearing was a white plain dress that I wore to my sisters wedding which was bought at Annes Fabric here in Hamilton. The Vestan however, was my aunts vestan from back when she was a young girl in Kurdistan she had kept it all these years and gave it to my older sister. My sister barely wore it so I decided to start wearing it, which is what you see here. I love the old style feel, and the fabric. It obviously has sentimental value to my family which makes me love it even more. I also love the pattern of the vestan and how you can pair it with pretty much any colour.

The jewellery I was wearing was my Kurdish necklace my father bought me.

It was a really interesting night with my family being there with people who were drunk, or sober and didn't know how to Kurdish dance LOL. Honestly, it was all worth it getting to experience and see one of my favorite Kurdish artists EVER! He was amazing to listen too and sing with to certain songs such as Peshmerga (which is one of my fav song of his). I love his voice and how nice he is on stage singing everyone's song requests.

LISTEN TO MY FAV SONGS OF HIS DOWN BELOW

ALSO, CHECK MY INSTAGRAM FOR MORE VIDEOS OF THE CONCERT AND HOW CLOSE I WAS TOO HIM! I EVEN GOT A PICTURE WITH HIM, BUT THEY CAME OUT UGLY 😞

Overall, I had an amazing time at the concert and I really loved what I was wearing especially the vestan because of the value that It has behind it. I hope you guys enjoyed this short blog post recapping the Rekesh Seyrani concert with me.

side note: someone needs to get Rekesh Seyrani for a wedding here in Hamilton because I am done with the same old singers everyone gets.
