Peymon & Warvin's Wedding
TWO WEDDINGS WITHIN A MONTH?
I would love to recap my trip to Nashville Tennessee for my cousins wedding, which was right after my sisters wedding (August 2015). WE HAD TWO FAMILY WEDDINGS IN A ONE MONTH. Honestly by the end of August I was over any Kurdish event, This was the only time where I had too much Kurdish events in my life happening all at once.
My family from Winnipeg, and my brother-in-law with his wife joined us on our trip to Nashville. We did a road trip from Hamilton Ontario Canada to Nashville and lets just say it was an eventful trip.
SIDE STORY; My dad had somehow managed to drive over a parking lot curve which was very high up from the ground. This caused one of the parts from underneath the car to break. I'm pretty sure he attached it back with some tape or glue. You already know that I didn't go inside that car until I prayed for my life.
The road trip was a very fun time with my family trying to entertain ourselves while we were driving so many hours to get to Nashville.
WE FINALLY GOT TO NASHVILLE!
After arriving we had the Sar Xana the next day which was extremely fun, but I'm here to talk about the wedding.
My beautiful cousin/sister Peymon (or Peyme as I like to call her) was such a beautiful bride. I grew up with her in Winnipeg so seeing her in a wedding dress made me extremely emotional, but she looked amazing in it and got so many compliments on her wedding dress.
You know its going to be a good time no matter what when you have family there to dance with and go crazy with, which is actually what happened. We had the most amazing time just being together, and being able to come together as a family and celebrate Peymes big day.
Honestly cant get anymore beautiful!
I love these pictures so much, truly depicts the beauty that she holds and the love they both share for one another. It was shown during this day how much they both adored each other and their happiness because they were finally together.
As you would have guessed it I was bridesmaid with other really close family members, being together and taking pictures was something really special because now I can look back at it and laugh. Especially this picture because God knows what we were talking about and what conversations were we having (first photo).
I love these photos so much and everyone in them.
Whoever said too many bridesmaids and groomsmen were ugly IS LYING TO YOU. I loved how Peyme along with her husband was able to include everyone they could so the wedding could be a representation of how big their family was becoming.
WHAT I WAS WEARING
The dresses that you see we are wearing and specifically the one my family was wearing was made and bought by my aunt. She made the Kefîks and the dresses for the big day. She bought the fabric from the fabric store in Winnipeg Manitoba. From there she had included names on all the dresses to know which one was which and brought it from Winnipeg to Nashville. I love my aunt so extremely much (Dastê wê na êshen Insha'Allah).
As the colours of the wedding were blue I paired the dress with a belt my father got from Kurdistan along with the common jewellery such as the Kurdish necklace with the long necklace. As well as, my bracelets that were all bought in Kurdistan.
JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW HARD MY FAMILY BREAKS IT DOWN LOL!
IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE DANCE THEY'RE DOING SHEXANÎ, WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH THE BEST THING KURDS COULD EVER INVENT TO BE HONEST.
This recap has been a memorable one I love each and everyone of the people I got to spend this adventure with and wedding with. I hope to do it again soon.
